International Garden Photographer Of The Year

“Wrinkled Peach Close-Up” 3rd place in ‘The World Of Fungi’ category

I was fortunate enough to receive an invitation to the 18th International Garden Photographer Of The Year (IGPOTY) reception at the Marianne North Gallery in Kew Gardens.

Last year I had a photograph selected as one of the finalists in ‘The World Of Fungi’ category. This Year I was delighted to discover that my Wrinkle Peach Close-Up image received 3rd place in this category.

My photo features in the outdoor exhibition, alongside all the other awarded images across all categories, at Kew which runs from February 15th - March 16th 2025.

The exhibition will then be touring and this is the current list of locations -

Cambridge University Botanic Garden, Cambridge - March 21st - May 7th 2025

National Trust Belton Estate, Lincolnshire - March 28th - May 26th 2025

Birmingham Botanical Gardens, Birmingham - May 14th - June 30th 2025

National Trust Stourhead, Wiltshire - June 27th - August 27th 2025

Dundee Heritage Trust Verdant Works, Scotland - April 15th - September 8th 2025

Blenheim Palace, Oxfordshire - July 9th - September 8th 2025

Walmer Castle and Gardens (English Heritage), Kent - September 3rd - November 3 2025

The gallery itself was a pretty incredible site to host the presentation, with 832 paintings by the Victorian artist Marianne North, covering every inch of wallspace.
